Ficelle & Baluchon is an environmentally responsible business both in its output products and its production processes. From design to delivery, every effort is made to ensure our products have the least impact on the environment. Amongst many others, we promote local purchasing, we maximise our base material use and we use upcycled fabrics, compostable envelopes for shipping as well as 100% recycled cardboard for labeling. In this respect, our greatest source of pride lies in the fact that we have generated zero waste to date, out of a production run of over 5,000 gift-wrappings. All base materials are used, down to the littlest bit of thread! We even upcycle our suppliers\u00b4 packaging or recycle them as a last resort. Don\u00b4t be surprised if your delivered order includes upcycled material in its packaging !<\/p>\n

Being environmentally responsible also implies being socially responsible. We strive to hire people who are most likely to live in isolation to encourage the maintenance or development of their social network while benefiting from ethical work conditions. We also support social causes that are dear to us. Our reusable fabric gift wrappings are very easy to maintain. Ironing with steam at medium temperature setting will erase creases. If needed, they can be machine washed cold on delicate cycle and hang to dry.
